Jedward announce first Irish over 18’s show

Jedward are thinking of their older fanbase as they announced their first over 18’s show in Ireland.

Performing in front of a boozing audience, the 25-year-old brothers will take to Dublin’s Button Factory on March 24 – but won’t be having a drink themselves.

“Our fans have all grown up with us and now they want a drink,” Edward said.

“We won’t be drinking ourselves but if our fans want to have a pint – well, we got to let them.”

Although catering to their older fans, younger Jedward lovers, who had hoped to attend their rare performance, sadly won’t gain entry to the venue because of their age.

“We know a lot of our fans won’t be able to get in but we have to cater for the older ones who can,” John told the Sun.

The twins revealed they will perform six brand new songs – accompanying themselves on guitar.

The Dubliners, who are currently in the US, admitted they picked up some tips on playing live from ex Beatle Paul McCartney who they met at the Grammys last week.

Jedward left shaken after thugs attack twins on flight

Jedward were left badly shaken after being bullied on a Ryanir flight

The brothers were flying from Gothenburg to London earlier this week when they were targeted by thugs.

The pop duo were on their 19-date European ‘Peace Tour’ when they were harassed.

A group of thugs reportedly moved seats on the flight to harass them.

At one point things got to the point that an air hostess even threatened to alert the police when they landed.

‘It got so heated the air hostess had to announce that the police would be waiting when the plane touched down if the row didn’t stop,’ a source said.

Although fans intervened to defend them, Jedward said it was still a “very frightening situation.”

Jedward said they will get UFC champ Conor McGregor to teach them how to defend themselves.

‘No one is going to harass us. Conor is somebody who could help. Go on the Irish. We’re going to give him a call’, the pair told The Irish Sun.

‘John had his hair pulled. It felt like being back in school with a bunch of bullies.’

Jedward to embark on tour-minal of airports

JEDWARD are about to embark on meet and greet tour of European airports.

In a climate of global warming and terrorist attacks, the pop twins plan to settle the nerves of fans across Europe by clocking up air miles seeing them.

However John and Edward won’t be playing any gigs on their World Peace Tour just meeting fans at airports.

John told the Irish Sun: “No, we’re not performing but instead we plan on defying the current fears about terrorism by reassuring our fans that everything will be okay.”

Visiting 19 cities in 12 countries, there had been confusion among Jedheads when dates for the tour had been announced with locations including Terminal One at Dublin Airport, on January 11 at 9:20pm, having rendezvoused with fans at Stansted and Glasgow airports earlier that day.

But John and Edward won’t make a cent from the dates as they refuse to charge fans for the meet and greets.

Edward said:”It’s not about money. It’s about making a connection with cool people. People can take selfies with us. Whatever they want do.”

Jedward fan Juliet Barrable from Bishops Stortford in the UK, who contributes to website Jedworldnews.com, said:”This is such a sweet and generous thing for John and Edward to do. They did something similar in Stanstead airport last year. The mood was very relaxed and everyone got a chance to meet them.”

Jedward were trending yesterday morning after they asked fans to start the day with a Good Morning Jedward message. Thousands joined in.

The World Peace Tour could get a huge boost on New Year’s Day if Jedward are short-listed as one of the acts the UK public will be voting on to represent them at Eurovision.

Sources say the two 24-year-olds had approaches to sing the UK entry for the 2016 Eurovision.

John said:”We’re interested as we know we’re already popular in Eurovision and will have support across Britain to represent the UK because of the fan base we got in X Factor.”

Brothers John and Edward Grimes represented Ireland twice at the song contest in Dusseldorf in 2011 and Baku in 2012.

Although they failed to win on both occasions, their 2011 Irish entry Lipstick went on to become a hit across Europe, and they have been invited back to the song contest every year as special guests.

The BBC’s new open approach is to make sure the act chosen to represent UK has more appeal to the European public who vote in the final contest after a series of disastrous results.

Jedward want Sharknado to film in Ireland

Sharknado 3 airs tonight on the Syfy channel and will see the twins making their big screen debut alongside their friend Tara Reid, Frankie Muniz, David Hasselhoff and Kelly Osbourne.

The Syfy channel has now confirmed the follow-up, which will allow viewers to influence where the plot goes.

At the end of the movie, it is left unknown if leading character April Shepard (Tara Reid) survives a piece of space shuttle wreckage falling from the sky.

The screen cuts to black and a message appears asking viewers to decide on the face of the character on Twitter using the hastags #AprilLives or #AprilDies.

It looks like Jedward are firmly behind Team April, speaking to TEN today they said: “SpoilerAlert!! Everyone needs to Vote #AprilLives because Sharknado is nothing without Tara Reid!!

“Sharknado 4 needs to have Ed Sheeran because we all make the ultimate team of JedSheeran. Sharknado has turned into a TV Holiday that hopefully will be shown every year just like the Super Bowl.

“We are gonna try our hardest to make the NBC Universal Bosses film in the UK and Ireland for Sharknado 4”.

Jedward call Tara Reid ‘inspiration’ to pregnant women and reveal they’ll be godfathers to her baby

John and Edward Grimes have exclusively told Mirror Online that their Celebrity Big Brother pal will make an ‘awesome mother’ and are desperate for her to have baby

Jedward would like to be godfathers to Tara Reid’ baby.

The Hollywood star isn’t actually pregnant yet but the Irish duo have high hopes for when she does have a bun in the oven.

“We will definitely be at the christening because we will be godparents,” John Grimes exclusively told Mirror Online.

“We’ll probably sing a few songs for the baby to celebrate the big day – maybe Hallelujah or something like that.”

When Mirror Online stressed to the pair that their pal isn’t pregnant yet, Edward said: “But we want her to get pregnant!

“She would make sure an awesome mother. Can you imagine? Her baby will be the most stylish child going. It will have the most striking blue eyes ever!”

Although Tara isn’t with child in real life, her character April Wexler in Sharknado 3 is – and the Jedward boys thinks her big screen alter-ego sets a great example to expectant mothers everywhere.

Edward added: “Tara proves that pregnant women can do everything they could before they got pregnant; climb up roller coasters, take down sharks. She’s such an inspiration!”

Jedward are set to feature in Sharknado 3 alongside Tara – who apparently got the boys their parts in the movie.

“She’s our biggest fan,” admitted John. “She always puts in a good word for us. If anyone ever says anything bad about us, she’ll take them down!”

Sharknado 3 premieres on SyFy on July 22.

Jedward: ‘We’re going to make a record with David Hasslehoff’

BAD NEWS Germany – Jedward want to give you a new National Anthem… and they’re gonna ask The Hoff to help.

CKbjgzCXAAA9qFv

The boys make a cameo appearance in new movie Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! where they met Baywatch star David Hasslehoff on set.

And although they were given the task by producers of writing the theme song for the B movie, they have an another project in mind.

Edward says: “We don’t own any of David’s CDs, but we’d be up for teaming up with him.

“We could come up with a new national anthem for Germany — we’ll call it Jedmany-Hoff — or something great.”

But it was another musical legend who they turned to when they came to pen new single Oh Hell No! – musical legend Sir Paul McCartney.

The former Beatle has admitted he’s a fan of the band and when the time came to work on the title track for the third instalment of SyFy’s ridiculous made-for-TV film franchise it was his advice the twins called upon.

John says: “I can remember talking to Paul McCartney about writing theme songs for movies, and he said not to mention the name of the film, to make it universal for people.”

The former X Factor contestants didn’t totally take his wisdom on board, calling the track Oh Hell No, nor did they fully deliver what film bosses wanted.

Edward says: “They wanted alternative rock — and we tried writing some Def Leppard-style songs — but I wanted claps and high hats and kicks and for it to be mainly driven by a trumpet. The song is just like the atmosphere of Sharknado — we tried to capture the anticipation and fear of when a sharknado is happening.”

For those unfamiliar with what a sharknado is, it’s a (thankfully) made-up weather phenomenon in which a tornado empties the oceans of all its finned inhabitants and throws them on to dry land — where they begin to eat everyone and everything in their path.

John adds: “Originally the song was called Nerve Fire, but then we changed direction and started writing the raps to go with it.

“When we’re writing songs we try to use words that no one’s used before. We’re not the number one rappers in the world, but Kanye West should watch out.”

They also had another source of inspiration when writing the track — pal Tara Reid, who stars in the movie. Edward says: “I was imagining Tara screaming, and all this intensity.”

Between takes of the new movie the twins got to spend time with some of the other celebrities making cameo appearances in the film Jerry Springer and retro pin-up Bo Derek.

It’s commendable that the boys even agreed to appear in Sharknado after they nearly died at sea off Dublin last year.

An evening stroll with their cousin along Donabate beach almost turned deadly when rising tides stranded them on a sandbank. Their beloved mum saved the day after she immediately alerted the coastguards who rushed to their rescue after a panicked phonecall from the pair.

escuers were forced to wade through the waves after darkness fell, getting them to dry land at 1am.

The ordeal meant they were able to give an even deeper performance in Sharknado.

They say: “We thought about that when we were in the film — it was really serious.”

But the experience hasn’t left them with a total aversion to the sea, they can still see the benefits of seaside life.

Edward says: “If we were sea creatures we’d be mermen, like Zoolander in the film.

“We can already do ‘Blue Steel’ (Zoolander’s signature pose) and the water would keep our quiffs in shape.”
