Jedward willing to defect from Ireland and represent other country in Eurovision

The twins revealed they’d had a number of approaches from countries

Pop twins Jedward have hinted they are set to represent another country at Eurovision for a chance to finally win.

The Dublin brothers represented Ireland twice at Eurovision with Waterline and Lipstick but have yet to bag the trophy.

Now Jedward have revealed they’ve had approaches from other countries to be their act next year in Austria – refusing to deny they are interested.

“We had every single country coming up to us going, ‘Can you please write a song for our country? Can you please represent our country?,’ Edward said.

“So who knows? There’s a lot of demand for Jedward. There’s a lot of Jedward love all over the world.”

Previously, the lads admitted they were considering writing a song for next year’s competition – with winner Conchita Wurst’s writer willing to help.

And John hinted that Spain could be where their heart lies, adding in an online interview: “I’d like to record a song in Spanish.”

Eurovision stars Jedward are planning their own version of Live Aid – to raise money for the coast guard who rescued them.

The former X Factor singers had to be saved by helicopter in a daring late-night mission after being stranded at sea with their cousin.

Now John, 22, revealed they are set to meet up with Bob Geldof for help on arranging the charity gig.

“Firstly it is amazing that members of the coastguard do it all voluntarily so we want to help,” he said.

“We’ll meet Bob in two weeks’ time in England at Guilfest and of course he’s the man to ask how to do it because he did such an incredible job raising money for charity with Live Aid.”

And John told the Sun that he and Edward thought they were about to die earlier this week.

“We really thought we had died. We were in complete pitch dark,” he said.

“We went for a two-hour walk down the beach and found ourselves stuck. It took two days for us to stop shaking.”

It’s a no from us: Jedward reveal they turned down job hosting Xtra Factor

Pop twins Jedward have revealed they turned down a chance to present the Xtra Factor.
The Dubliners revealed they were asked by ITV bosses to host the show alongside DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford.
But Jedward decided to pass on the big-money presenting opportunity, adding: “They had a girl so they needed two guys, we passed”.
However Edward, 22, told the Irish Sun that the money doesn’t matter to them – as they are rich enough to buy their own house soon.

“Are Jedward well off? We don’t owe money so I suppose we are, in fact we’re hoping to buy a house soon,” he said.
“We also made a lot of money for other people. That leaves us free to go around the world to play and work on our sound.”
And John insisted that despite having no record label they aren’t giving up on their career – and will still be going in five years.

“Of course some people have written us off but we still plan on doing this in five years’ time,” he said.
“We’d like people to give us a break. We’ve crossed all sorts of boundaries and appealed to people who didn’t give us a chance before.

Jedward want to enter Eurovision for a THIRD time after series of flops for Ireland

The X Factor twins plan to write our song for next year – with the help of Conchitta

Jedward have revealed they want to enter Eurovision again – by writing Ireland’s entry next year.

The X Factor twins insisted they won’t perform at the 2015 contest in Austria as they don’t feel people would “appreciate” it.

But the Dubliners – who came eighth with Lipstick when they entered three years ago – feel they know what Ireland needs to win.

John said: “I’d like to write a song, we wrote other songs that are going to be on our album. But I’d like to write a really good Eurovision song.

“I think we have to be prepared, rather than do it last minute. Really prepare for it… I think we need to think outside of Ireland at what will work.”

Edward added that Ireland, who failed to make it past the semi-finals with Kasey, “needs a song that stands out” and the person behind Conchita Wurst’s win wants to work with them.

He said: “The guy who wrote Conchitta’s song, he wants to write a song with us for Eurovision.”

Meanwhile, Jedward told the Ray D’Arcy Show that they will always stay the same – and don’t plan to rebel.

John said: “I feel like me and Edward always try and be who we are before we went on the whole thing. We don’t say we have to start getting loads of tattoos, we have to be hanging out.

“We’re not saying, ‘Look at me, I’m smoking, I’m doing this, I’m doing that’. We just want to always be us and stay who we are.”

Edward added: “Me and John don’t have this massive pressure on our shoulders every day, where we have to impress 1,000 people working for us… we’ve never felt like we’ve been in a position where we have to rebel.”

John said: “If I was to ever rebel, I’d just have a load of chocolates and sweets.”
