Twins John and Edward Grimes, 23 – who originally shot to fame as contestants on the 2009 series of The X Factor – more than looked the part as they strutted their stuff in handmade garbs by top designer Jean Paul Gaultier during the Life Ball in Vienna.
‘Everyone is very happy, Jean Paul called us his twin angels!’ Edward told Metro.co.uk.

Adding: ‘The fashion world was Jedified! Who knows, we could be doing this as a full-time job and hitting Milan, Paris and New York fashion shows.’
In addition to modelling, Jedward also performed their 2011 Eurovision Song Contest entry Lipstick.

The Irish stars, who will soon been seen making their film debut in Sharknado 3 alongside Tara Reid, clearly made an impression on Gaultier, who is now following them on Twitter.

And it seems he wasn’t the only friends that the likeable duo made, with them telling us: ‘Backstage we got close to Paula Abdul and Kelly Osbourne and became good friends. We danced the night away with super models and felt accepted by all the fashion industry and Jean Paul’s team.
‘The editor of Italian Vogue gave us some tips on walking the catwalk and later on we had a dance off at the after party and talked fashion.’

Say what you like about John and Edward, but they are true go-getters and more power to them.

Here’s to their continued jedication in whatever they set their hearts and minds on.

Jedward to walk runway show for John Paul Gaultier

The singing duo are trying to make the move into modelling

Jedward are set to make the move from music to modelling after landing a new catwalk deal.

The Lipstick singers have been approached by top fashion designer John Paul Gaultier to model at a fashion show in Vienna on later this month.
The Lucan twins have been asked to strut their stuff at The Life Ball, one of the biggest AIDS charity events in the world, with stars such as Kelly Osbourne, Charlize Theron and Mary J Blige all in attendance.

Jedward told the Irish Sun that they are hoping it will work out.
“We have modelled before. We did Milan Fashion Week in 2013. It worked out so well, Roberto Cavalli invited us out on his yacht.”

Jedward talk Sharknado 3: ‘We weren’t killed off, and now we’re writing music for the movie’

The Dublin duo star in the franchise with best friend Tara Reid

Jedward have revealed they could be back for another Sharknado movie, after producers kept the singers alive in the latest instalment.

The X Factor stars have already filmed their scenes for Sharknado 3, and admitted they weren’t killed off like most of the cast.

“No we don’t get eaten, they wanted to keep our roles open because we are going to totally do loads of stuff. They killed off everybody else but didn’t kill us off,” John said.

Celebrities such as David Hasselhoff Jerry Springer and Frankie Muniz all make appearances in the third instalment of the popular franchise.

And while Jedward could be kickstarting their acting career, the Dublin twins revealed they’re also working on the soundtrack for the movie.

“They were talking about it, they were talking about doing some songs,” John told Yahoo.

“We already put forward some early stages of songs to the director and they all thought they were cool ideas.

“For Sharknado to write a song, you need to get yourself in the atmosphere, and imagining there is chaos all around you.

“It’s got to be theatrical, the intensity of sharks flying everywhere,” John added.

Jedward reveal they’re secretly great friends with The Killers and Muse

The Eurovision twins never would expect them to be ‘accepting’ of them

Pop twins Jedward have revealed that rockers The Killers are their biggest fans.

The Eurovision twins admitted that Brandon Flowers’ band can’t get enough of them – after meeting at an MTV awards ceremony.

And Edward revealed that Muse are also great fans of them, with John ever arm-wrestling their drummer.

“The Killers are really cool. It’s the groups you wouldn’t expect to be Jedward fans or ‘accepting’ towards us that are,” he said.

“We met them at the MTV European Music Awards one year, and then at the X Factor final. The X Factor final was funny, they didn’t know anybody, just us.

“Dermot O’Leary introduced himself to them, then they made a beeline for us – the familiar faces. Oh, and Muse.

“John actually arm-wrestled the drummer, that was also at the European Music Awards in 2012 or 2013.”

And Edward added in an interview with the Irish World that they finally feel they have made the music they want – after writing all of their fourth album.

“All the music for the fourth album was written by us, which was brilliant because we could see what direction the song was going,” he said.

“You find the concept, then the chorus. There’s some guitar and EDM in there, it’s not all dance music.

“Our music before wasn’t 100% what we wanted, but this album is 100% us, it feels like our first album. We’ve always done what we wanted, but writing your own songs and having people like them is something different.”

Jedward reunite with Coast Guard to thank them for saving their lives

The Lucan twins were stranded at sea

Pop duo Jedward took time to visit the Coast Guards who saved their lives in a sea rescue.

The X Factor stars were rescued by the Skerries Coast Guard last week, after getting stranded.

John and Edward Grimes showed their gratitude to the team this week, meeting with local volunteers back on Donabate beach.

Volunteer Vanessa Gaffney said it was difficult to find the famous twins when they got the emergency call:

“The tide was coming in, they really hadn’t much time left. We were mobilised by the Coast Guard’s Maritime Operations centre in Dublin.

“But the only location we had was Donabate beach, which goes on for several miles. And it was pitch black, which made it very hard to locate them.,” she told the Sun.

Edward added that the pair started to seriously panic:

“What was really freaking us out was we had our little cousin with us who couldn’t swim.

“The water was coming in and things were getting quite serious.”

Thankfully a Coast Guard helicopter arrived and saved the boys.

“We owe our lives to them,” the twins said.
